Building a School
Shree Bhimsen Secondary School is located in Khatrithok, Sindhupalchowk, Nepal. This already vulnerable community was one of the worst affected districts in the 2015 earthquake. Umbrella Australia have supported rebuilding the school and are happy to say that in 2022 the final funds were sent and the school is now complete with the third and final floor now finished.

Women of the Kiln Health & Hygiene
Women work long hours in hard conditions in the nearly 1300 brick kiln factories of Nepal. TUFA are currently supporting the DFG Nepal Chaunni Enterprise Team, located in the Kathmandu Valley where our team of ladies are sewing washable menstruation pads for girls & women who have very limited access to feminine hygiene health.

Children of the Kiln Project
There are up to 32,000 children working in bonded labour in the brick kilns. Lack of safety, health & sanitation are major issues and the seasonal operations of the factories reduces access to education. TUFA has partnered with The Global Fairness Initiative who have been working with five kilns committed to eliminating child bonded and forced labour. In those kilns children now have access to education while their parents labour.
